COVAC Responds to Serious MVA

On November 15, 2006, Cornwall Ambulance responded to a reported MVA with multiple serious injuries on State Route 32 near Quaker Avenue. Upon arrival, COVAC requested the assistance of two Medivac helicopters and New Windsor EMS. Regional EMS paramedics also assisted.

Cornwall Ambulance transported one patient in traumatic arrest to Cornwall Hospital and another patient to a waiting a State Police Medivac. New Windsor EMS transported two patients with minor injuries to Cornwall Hospital. Cornwall, Cornwall-on-Hudson and Salisbury Mills Fire Departments assisted with extrication and set up the Medivac landing zone.
